Full Name: The Kingdom of Netherlands. Also known as Holland. Try not to call him "Holland." He will still answer to it, it just bothers him slightly.
Human Name: Johan Flanders ( Yes, I decided on this as his name. )
Age: ...Well, The Netherlands' Independance was recognized sometime in 1843, or that is what research tells me. Physically, he should be around 25 or 26.
Height: 180 cm ( Should be around 6'0" )
Weight: 83 kg ( 182 pounds )
DOB: January 30, when Netherlands became independent from Spain
Personality
Netherlands, or Johan, is a quiet person most of the time. He can come off as hard to most, but after a while--which is usually a long time--he'll start to trust, and become more hospitible towards people. He's a loyal friend, and is very serious about business. He is the older brother of Belgium and younger brother of Luxembourg, and does care for them deeply. At the same time, he doesn't suffocate them, but will if he thinks they could be in danger. He doesn't like Spain--not a hatred, just a strong dislike--and tries to avoid him, due to the way the Spainiard treated him and his people when he was known as the Spanish Netherlands. Netherlands is also known for using rather hardcore drugs, which is quite ironic, since his government enforces restiction on drugs, and he doesn't really care for them. He does carry his pipe still, but at the most, it'll just be tobacco. Or bubbles.
Appearance
Netherlands can be seen with two different hairstyles: either with spiked hair, or his hair combed down. He has a scar on his forehead, and often carries a pipe in his mouth. He wears a scarf in the winter, which is patterned after his flag and has peircing olive eyes.
Major Relations
Belgium
Belgium is Netherlands' younger sister. They do get along well nowadays, but have had their rocky bits when she chose to stay with Spain during the 80 Years' War, and he had no choice but to fight against her.
France
Netherlands doesn't hate France. He's not too fond of him, but he doesn't hate him, either. France was in control from 1715 to 1814, thanks to Napoleon, but after a defeat, his troops left. He does know some French, but otherwise forgot most of it, since there wasn't any real reason to remember it, other than business affairs.
Spain
Spain has had control of Netherlands from 1519 to 1581, before Netherlands suceeded in rebelling agaisnt him in the 80 Years' War, and gained independence. Ever since, he's struggled to try to forgive him, or even talk to him for that matter. The hatred has gone away, but the dislike still lingers about.
England
England supported Netherlands during the 80 Years' War when Queen Elizabeth I sent some of her troops to help the Dutch army against the Spainish, however, the British troops weren't really that beneficial. Nevertheless, Netherlands appreciated the thought, and kind of considers England a friend.
Germany
Netherlands was very, very unhappy when Germany invaded his country, violating his neutrality and the annhilation of around 100,000 Dutch Jews. He can't speak to the man and harbors a dark grudge against him for that.
Prussia

Canada
An old friend, still a dear friend. The Netherlands sends Canada tulips every year, as a thanks for keeping Princess Juliana safe during the Second World War. He's one of his good friends. And that's saying quite a bit.
Japan
The Netherlands and Japan get on well. He abides by Japanese custom well whenever visiting, and has had a lengthy history with him for quite some time. He is another that can be considered a good friend.
China
It's a similar situation with Japan, having been cooperative when first asking the nation to trade with his country.
Headcannons
-Netherlands is straight, but he is very tolerant of other sexualities. He was the first European country to legalize gay marrige.
-He absolutely hates the rain, since flooding is a bit of a problem in parts of the Netherlands.
-Belgium often asks Netherlands to try some of her chocolate, or her waffles. Because of this, he has also grown to be a critic on foreign waffles and bitter chocolates.
-Go Dutch.
-He's very serious when it comes to things like debt, and if anyone owes him he'll be making damn sure that they repay him.

Netherlands had been bitten by a werewolf, though he was ignorant of it until the symptoms had begun to show. He thought it was just a regular dog...just bigger...and more hostile. He's shrugged it off most of the time, but after a while of getting used to his, -ahem- "wolf-ness", he now knows the things he can and can't do. And if he can be outside or not.
Personality
After getting bitten, Netherlands hasdog wolf ears. He has "claws", and longer canines, though he does what he can to conceal them. He has become a bit more self-conscious, and can sometimes come off as hostile due to this. He's also slightly more protective of his friends, and it takes him some time to eat vegetables or fruit...or anything that isn't meat, to be precise. He also tends to drink more water than beer, but he hasn't given it up completely. It just doesn't appeal to him as it had before.
The Moon
As a werewolf, the moon is the bane of his existance. He chooses not to go outside at night, though he has become more tolerable of himself. Here's how the phases of the moon work for him:
New Moon
At this stage of the moon, he is in full control of himself; his ears and tail even disappear for the night. It's one of those nights where he can be "human", save for the still partially extended canines and toned-down claws. He has no problem going outside at night, and can hold down more vegetation than he normally could. And beer. There's always beer.
Crescent
He's fairly okay at this stage of the moon, but can't be outside for too long. He has a tendancy to growl a bit more, or he'd be a little more jumpy than normal. Occasionally, he'd seclude himself from other people, so he wouldn't hurt anyone by accident.
Half-Moon
This is when he starts succumbing more and more to his "curse". He growls quite often, even a slight roar every now and then. He also catches himself howling from time to time, and when he's not entirely calm, he has a chance of losing control of himself.

When he comes in view of the moon, he'll start acting extremely weird, and even tends to growl. He'll have a much, much harder time understanding human speech, save for simple things. Give him some meat to keep him busy, otherwise, stay clear of him whenever possible.

Johan could hardly keep himself awake as he slowly walked home; despite being necessary, he hated late meetings. He lit his pipe and took a puff, letting out a heavy sigh. When he spotted the small girl, he raised an eyebrow. "It's a little late to be wandering about..." He said.
